Privacy policy

In short. IzySchool only collects what it needs to help you revise. Your data is never sold. You can view it, correct it or delete your account at any time.
1. Data controller
Unitechs, Dschang, Cameroon, reachable at unitechsdev@gmail.com or +237 691 594 727 / 673 606 841. This processing complies with Cameroon Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data.
2. Data we collect
- Account: name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Study profile (optional): class, target exam and its date, daily goal, language.
- Uploaded documents: your PDFs and the text extracted from them, used to generate your sheets, flashcards and quizzes.
- Progress: flashcard and quiz answers, study sessions, used to schedule your reviews (spaced repetition).
- Classes: the classes you join or manage, and the courses shared in them.
- Analytics: page views and feature usage, in aggregate.
3. Why
- Create and secure your account.
- Generate your study content and schedule your reviews.
- Let your teachers see the progress of a class they manage (and only that class).
- Send you service emails (email verification, password reset).
- Improve the app.
4. Who can access it
Your data is never sold. It is only entrusted to the providers needed to run the service:

Some of these providers are located outside Cameroon (European Union, United States). We choose providers that apply recognised security safeguards.
5. Retention

6. Your rights
You can access, correct and export your data, object to processing or ask for your account to be deleted at any time. You can delete each uploaded document yourself. For anything else, write to unitechsdev@gmail.com: we reply within 30 days.
7. Minors
IzySchool is also for secondary school students. If you are under 18, use the app with the consent of a parent or guardian, who can write to us to exercise your rights.
8. Cookies
We use a session cookie, needed to keep you signed in, and local storage so the app works offline. No advertising cookies are used.
9. Security
Encrypted connection (HTTPS), hashed passwords, restricted data access, regular database backups.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. If something important changes, you will be told by email or in the app.
